The Foodathon is a collaboration between EIT Food and JA Europe, that aims to build young people’s entrepreneurial skills to transform the future of food. For the fourth year in a row, students from Africa and Europe will take part in the Foodathon and work together to come up with ideas to solve today’s food systems challenges.
The Foodathon 2024 is taking place online, between 16th October (UN World Food Day) and 13th November 2024 (final event and award ceremony).
Who are we looking for?
To support the 300 students through this intense idea generation and pitching experience, we are looking for motivated mentors who will:
- Coach a diverse, international, highly motivated group of students
- Guide a student team through learning in a group setting;
- Facilitate and moderate the discussions
- Advise on pitching and presentation techniques.
What is the time commitment and agenda?
The time commitment is three hours minimum – mentors are welcome to join additional non-mandatory sessions such as the pitching event and award ceremony, on 13 November from 11.00-13.00 CET.
The obligatory sessions are:
- 17 OCTOBER 10:30-11:30 CET - Mentors Briefing
- 22 OCTOBER 13:00-14:00 CET - Mentor Briefing 1
- 25 OCTOBER 13:00-14:00 CET - Mentor Session 2
- 29 OCTOBER 13:00-14:00 CET - Mentor Session 3
